Manuscripts--or The MSS, as it was called in the beginning--published it's first volume in the Fall of 1933. The then quarterly magazine which featured almost entirely written work with a few woodblock prints, sold for 15 cents a copy.
Since the first issue, Manuscripts has published over a hundred issues and has evolved into the free, annual, and award-winning magazine that publishes the work of Butler students each year.
With the changing of hands, you will notice that issue and volume numbers becames confused at times, however, the current staff is making attempts to correct these mistakes in the digital archiving of our Manuscripts heritage.
Luckily, nearly a century of fastidious editors and advisors have maintained the Manuscripts library beautifully, so all that remains is to bring the magazine into the next century.
